Thrush in children can actually disappear by itself around 7-10 days, while the pain can last for 3-4 days. But don't wait for it to disappear without treatment. You surely know how sore the mouth when experiencing thrush. That is how your baby feels. Therefore, immediately handle it when you see thrush in your baby. Below are a few steps you can take to deal with thrush in infants:- Compost thrush with ice cubes. Cold sensation can make canker sores numb.
- Give soft-textured foods and cold temperatures, such as ice cream.
- Make a solution consisting of water, salt, and baking soda. After the solution is finished, dip a cotton swab in the solution and gently apply it to thrush. Do it 3-4 times a day.
- Give drinks in small amounts but often to wet the oral cavity and prevent your child from dehydration.
